Sewing with my Sister

2006-01-01 00.00.00-10.jpgMe and my sister are both doing a Carolina Christmas by Bonnie Hunter, a lovely pattern that I’ve been wanting to make for a long time.  This is her second quilt ever, and gosh, I couldn’t even begin to count what number quilt it would be for me.

I had already cut out the HST units, and sewed mine to the white squares, but Saturday I cut out the rest of the quilt, both mine and hers.  I cut out WAY too many red bricks, but low and behold they are same size as a quilt in American Patchwork and Quilting that came out a few years ago that I’ve been interested in making.  Ooops. Right?

Today I made all of the fox units and I just finished pressing those guys.  Don’t know when I’ll have time to work on it again, but it is coming along slowly, and my red, neutral and green scraps are beginning to get manageable again.  Hope everyone has a great Monday tomorrow!
